The ALF has claimed responsibility for an attack on the Orfei-Errani circus in Latina during the night of February 8-9. Several billboards advertising the circus were damaged, and a truck and ticket office belonging to the circus were vandalized.

The activists wrote, "We hope to have caused as much economic damage as possible to the exploiters. This is a declaration of war, you're under fire, everywhere you go you will find one of our cells ready to strike. For you there will be no peace until ALL the cages are open and each individual can live free and wild in its natural habitat."

Full claim of responsibility (Italian):
"Rivendichiamo l' attacco fatto nella notte tra l' 8 e il 9 febbraio a Latina al circo/lager Orfei. Abbiamo distrutto e buttato diversi cartelloni pubblicitari, altri sonostati vandalizzati. In seguito abbiamo portato un attacco diretto al circo/lager, vandalizzando direttamente i loro camion di morte e la biglietteria.
Speriamo di aver causato più danni economici possibili agli sfruttatori.
Questa è una dichiarazione di guerra, siete sotto tiro, ovunque andrete troverete una nostra cellula pronta a colpire. Per voi non ci sarà nessuna pace, fino a quando TUTTE le gabbie non saranno aperte eogni individuo potrà vivere libero e selvaggio nel suo Habitat naturale.
Chi lucra sulla vita e la libertà di qualsiasi individualità animale (umana e non) è un nostro nemico e come tale verrà trattato. Sfruttatore avvisato, mezzo salvato!
