Someone is organizing a Day of Rage protest in Seattle tomorrow (Sept. 17) as part of the big Adbusters call to Occupy Wall Street the same day. It seems organizers are attempting to re-create the Tahrir Square phenomenon here in the US. The event is definitely NOT anarchist and is avowedly non-violent, but if it doesn't flop completely it could be a good opportunity to spread propaganda.
It's worth noting that the Syntagma Square occupation in Athens, Greece, also started out as non-violent, but after repeated attacks from the police and the realization that the government was pretty much going to do whatever the EU/IMF/ECB wanted, people started to fight back. Also, it's somewhat likely that some sort of regular assembly could come of this event, and I think it would be stupid of anarchists to avoid it altogether.
Here are the details: 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, Bank of America building in downtown Seattle at 701 5th Ave. (main entrance at 5th Ave and Cherry St.)
