THEY ONLY ALLOW VISITS 1 DAY PER WEEK, THEY CHANGE THE LABORATORY EXAMINATION RESULTS (BY PEN!), SO THAT THE BLOODSUGAR DECREASES UNCONTROLLABLE, TORTURES SUCH AS PLATES WITH FOOD ON THE BED TABLES OF THE ACUSED PERSONS!


PRESS BULLETIN OF THE INITIATIVE FOR THE RIGHTS OF THE PRISONERS

By this announcement we want to express our pure abhorrence, in the most categorical way, for all kind of injustice, the inhuman and revengeful manipulation, which seems to be the normal tactic of the prosecution mechanisms regarding the cases of the persons who are accused to be members of the Organization Conspiracy of the Cells of Fire. Except of the multiple arrests, many of which are still untenable and based only on the criminalization of friendly relations and relations with companions, anger causes the fact of the continuing custody of the accused persons (such as of the hunger strikers from 06.04 Karagiannidis, Mitrousias and Sakkas) which are illegal. They are a product of feasibility far away from the procedural part of the accusations. In the sight of the absurdity of the continuing prosecutions and the continuing custody of Stella Antoniou, who suffers of a serious disease, as well as the transfers of the prisoners, and their demand to stay permanently in Koridallos prison, supporting their rights. As a medium they use their bodies and their lives, when they already have lost many kilos and are in danger to get serious health damage.

The hard and honest hunger strike to which these young people were forced to submit their selves, in order to stop the arbitrary, not only didn’t make the judges and the ministry of justice to listen carefully to the matter, but on the opposite, as we hear, made them express the most barbarian reactions. They limited the right for visits to 1 day per week, they changed (by pen!) the outcome of the laboratory examinations, so that the blood sugar decreases uncontrollable and tortures, such as plates with food on the bed tables of the hunger strikers!

We express our solidarity to their fight, and – due to the reduction of the social and personal rights – this regards every person who could be in the target of the repression. We demand the immediate gratification of their requests as well as the permanent abandonment, from the site of the state, of such methods, which remind us of other times and places.
