Perché mi state citando?

en it - Summary of day 18 (Wednesday, May 16) of 2nd Halandri Case trial

The session began with the following statement read by comrade Christos Tsakalos:
A few days ago, some exceptional news transformed the slow death of prison into a sign of life.
In Italy, our brothers and sisters from the Olga Cell of the Informal Anarchist Federation/International Revolutionary Front rewarded Roberto Adinolfi—head of nuclear energy company Ansaldo Nucleare—with three bullets in his legs. An enemy fell to the ground and a marvelous beacon of war dawned.
At this very moment, black-clad messengers of destruction are continuing to carry the flame of anarchy in the most faraway places.
They are our brothers and sisters from the Bolivian Informal Anarchist Federation, who tirelessly attack the frozen immobility of social death. This time, they placed an explosive device at a business that imports Renault cars from France.
We have some ugly news for this world’s law-abiding citizens.
For all of you who hide behind your very sober neckties, who work in your sterile offices, who live shut away in your stylish apartments, who wear your expressionless masks, who lie down in the mediocrity of your desires and sleep through borrowed dreams.
Your world is a guillotine that murders life.
Your ideals are concealed within your well-fed bellies and your empty hearts.
This society massacres our freedom, while your soldiers lock us up in your prisons, far away from our brothers and sisters.
But we can still hear their voices.
They are the conspirators of the Informal Anarchist Federation/International Revolutionary Front and the anarchists of praxis of the Black International, who emerge from the unknown and set thousands of fires to society’s peaceful dream.
They are our brothers and sisters. When they laugh they have stars in their eyes, and when they cry their tears become thorns, bullets, dynamite, and stones.
They are all of us who have chosen to inhabit the extremes. They are all of us who have no country and whose home is the sky and the stars.
They are all of us who destroy with a laugh and set fires with a song.
And power will die, the state will die, society will die.
Because only outside the limits of every compliance, every obligation, every rule, and every society can autonomous individualities exist who are nourished by the fire and chaos of an unyielding spirit.
Long live our brothers and sisters in the Olga Cell.
Long live our brothers and sisters in the Informal Anarchist Federation/International Revolutionary Front.
—Imprisoned members cell of the Fire Cells Conspiracy
Tsakalos continued to speak. He said the attempts by the presiding judge and the prosecutor to suppress the political nature of the trial were in vain. By trying to speed up the proceedings, they were indirectly admitting that the sentences had already been predetermined. Tsakalos also spoke about the political higher-ups who are in fact deciding on everything that goes on at the trial. In addition, he made reference to a certain Eleni Kondopoulou, who was subpoenaed as a witness but never appeared. Tsakalos said she doesn’t exist. Antiterrorist Unit pigs initially stated that they had identified her as one of the people who used to visit Haris Hatzimichelakis’ apartment in Halandri, so the judicial authorities issued an arrest warrant but then declared her innocent, evidently in order to cover up the mistake they made. The woman most likely doesn’t exist, and she existed only in judicial orders.
The defense attorneys then reminded the presiding judge about the petitions they had submitted during prior sessions. Among other things, they requested to once again subpoena all the Antiterrorist Unit police as witnesses (since enormous discrepancies emerged in their testimonies), as well officer Tziotis (who hasn’t yet made an appearance) from the same department, politician Louka Katseli, and former vice minister Stavros Kalafatis.
Defense attorney Frangiskos Ragousis reminded the judges that, despite accepting his request to subpoena Antiterrorist officer I. Frangiskos, the witness never made an appearance. Prosecutor I. Liakopoulos suggested that all such requests be rejected because they supposedly “don’t meet even the most minimal standards.” Liakopoulos considered the request to subpoena Katseli to be especially “exaggerated,” saying that “since her husband came here, there is no need for her to come as well.”
The examination phase for prosecution witnesses thus came to an end. Witnesses for the defense would now ordinarily have to testify, but the defendants rejected this “democratic right” since, according to Tsakalos, “only we ourselves can defend our actions.” The only one to testify as a defense witness was comrade Theofilos Mavropoulos, who made the following statement:
Growing up in a society of submission, resignation, hypocrisy, and stagnation, I felt the urgency to live my life as a human being and not as a number. To be a protagonist of my life and not a spectator. To satisfy ALL my desires here and now and avoid the muck of a passive waiting. I therefore sought out a new path, far removed from the endless pursuit of power.
I quickly realized that the only way one could live without power was to stand against it. Against institutions, against society, against relationships and perceptions that foster the human perversion of desiring the existence of hierarchy.
The enemy—power—undoubtedly has a spiritual as well as a material basis. In other words, it has subjects at its disposal who are determined to defend it with material violence, but it also has followers who spread the authoritarian obsession throughout the diffuse social fabric.
Thus, during centuries of human history, power developed through destructive wars and flourishing civilizations, arriving at its current globalized state while keeping thousands of years of experience in its curriculum in order to protect itself and extend its reach. Naturally, its greatest achievement of all is the fact of its consolidation within the prevailing social conscience.
What I, for my part, had to oppose against all that was the application and spread of my anarchic code of values.
However, the obvious inequality in the ratio of forces leads to the unavoidable choice of a strategic war against the regime—specifically, anarchist revolutionary war. The collectivization of antiauthoritarian action whose principle is the polymorphism of the means of struggle has thus become my existential priority.
I participated in different anarchist interventions in social space-time. From demonstrations, rallies, distributing political texts, postering, and powerfully combative marches to conspiratorial urban guerrilla actions.
By dedicating the most recent period of my life to armed anarchist struggle, I came to appreciate the tactic of urban guerrilla war. Surprise attacks on the structures of authoritarian society paralyze its defense mechanisms, since it is almost incapable of meeting a blow that is unpredictable insofar as the space and time at which it will be struck. The effects of a series of successful guerrilla attacks directed against strategic targets located behind the front lines of power, apart from causing material sabotage,  naturally have a negative impact on the enemy’s morale as well. Urban guerrilla war, as a methodology and as a way of life, uses discourse and practice to intensify the rupture with the existent and create limitless prospects for bringing about anarchy.
With this viewpoint as my basis, I came into contact with my comrades, creating the strongest of brotherly relationships.
Some of them are in front of you today, seated in the dock, while society has entrusted you with judging them for their anarchist political action.
But unfortunately for you, your court martial is incapable of repressing anarchist action’s impetuousness for freedom. Because anarchy is always seeking and finding new ways to escape from prison.
The defendants proudly and unapologetically took responsibility for their participation in the Fire Cells Conspiracy revolutionary anarchist organization, honoring and cementing their choices. Instead of their remorse, which you had perhaps hoped to elicit, what you are receiving is their total rejection and their general rupture with the world of power to which you are doing faithful service, as well as a sardonic smile—the same one we had when we were all sitting together at a table and polishing our weapons. We were undermining your society, maneuvering against it, sliding bullets into the clip with the same insolence with which we now flip through the pages of these charges. A page, a bullet, a page, a bullet.
We are not afraid and we will not retreat, because as long as we keep trying we are alive and free.
LONG LIVE THE FIRE CELLS CONSPIRACY REVOLUTIONARY ANARCHIST ORGANIZATION/INTERNATIONAL REVOLUTONARY FRONT.
PERMANENT INSURRECTION FOR ANARCHY.
The judges then moved on to the next part of the proceedings, which consists of the reading of texts and statements by witnesses who were unable to appear at the trial.
The trial was adjourned to Friday, May 25.

Atene – Aggiornamento sul secondo processo Halandri (16 maggio)

da  thisisourjob.noblogs.org
trad.  ParoleArmate

en es - Summary of day 17 (Friday, May 11) of 2nd Halandri Case trial

Former Antiterrorist Unit chief D. Horianopoulos finally made an appearance after multiple requests to subpoena him. Despite being the one who set up—at least on an operational level—the Halandri arrests, he now tried to pass himself off as a simple “office worker” who signed warrants from his desk and was only in the loop thanks to other Antiterrorist officers. Using the tactic of “I know, saw, and heard nothing,” he said there was no surveillance or pursuit until September 20, 2009—three days before the raid on Haris Hatzimichelakis’ apartment in Halandri—and that the only information assisting the Police in targeting said apartment came from an anonymous telephone call.
Comrades Christos Tsakalos and Michalis Nikolopoulos insistently and repeatedly asked Horianopoulos how that could possibly be true, given that certain articles to the contrary had appeared in the bourgeois press long before that date. Already in August 2009, reporters known for their good relationships with the Police were making reference to the surveillance of people—during vacation on the island of Icaria, for example—who were later charged with membership in the Fire Cells Conspiracy. And Tsakalos was specifically being mentioned by the press as “someone related to several neoterrorist groups” since at least February 2009, when Revolutionary Struggle parked a car bomb containing 50 kilograms of ammonium nitrate/fuel oil mixture (which ultimately didn’t explode) in front of Citibank’s main headquarters in Kifissia. The press insinuated Tsakalos’ “guilt” because the apartment he was living in at the time was just across the street from the attempted bombing.
In September 2009, Horianopoulos was the first to insist that Hatzimichelakis’ apartment was “a Fire Cells Conspiracy safe house,” yet he now admitted that it was simply an apartment and the only notable thing that went on there was a party. Also, many points of his testimony were somewhat contrary to those of his four lackeys—the Antiterrorist Unit police who were watching the apartment and who testified at the trial some weeks ago. The only suspicious thing those four saw in the garbage bags found near Hatzimichelakis’ apartment was some cabling. However, at that time Horianopoulos also took note of “gloves, work coveralls, masks, watch parts, etc.” Now, under examination by defense attorneys Frangiskos Ragousis, Ifigenia Karandrea, and C. Sipsas, and also obligated to answer Tsakalos’ and Nikolopoulos’ questions, Horianopoulos tried to portray himself as a victim who knows nothing, even to the point of recanting his own prior testimony. The defense requested to subpoena his four subordinates once again, but the judges rejected the request, saying that Horianopoulos’ testimony “clarified things.” Karandrea reminded the prosecutor that it was he himself who initially accepted the petition to examine all the police witnesses and their chief, but the prosecutor repeated that such a measure was “no longer necessary.” The strange thing is that Horianopoulos was subpoenaed to the trial on the basis of the testimony of one of his subordinates—a certain Hinopoulos who asserted that he knew nothing and that any information he did have came from his chief. Now the former chief was attempting to demonstrate just the opposite. It seems that no one in the Antiterrorist Unit is willing to take public responsibility for their actions.
After Horianopoulos’ testimony, Hatzimichelakis’ father took the stand. Among other things, he revealed a number of inconsistencies in the testimony of the police. For example, Horianopoulos said that after the Halandri apartment was raided the keys were handed over to Hatzimichelakis’ father. But Hatzimichelakis’ father refuted this, saying that the Antiterrorist Unit forced the doors and left them open after making their arrests and carrying out their search.
The trial was adjourned to Wednesday, May 16.

http://vivalaanarquia.espivblogs.net/?p=12750
Su táctica ahora es “no sé, no he visto y no he escuchado nada”.

Text from anarchist Rami Syrianos announcing the start of his hunger strike (Greece)

325 receives and transmits:
-On 26 of March I’m transferred from Nigrita’s prison to the courts of Thessaloniki, due to the trial against me for the expropriation of ODDY’s* auction.
After the trial being postponed once again, i am transferred back to Nigrita’s prison the same day. There i am subjected into search investigation during which I deny, once again, to consent in putting off my underwear (a procedure well-known to the prisons as “bend & cough”). They transfer me into the “newcomers’ cells” and present me subsequently before the prosecutor, who officially imposes me the penalty of disciplinary jail transfer, accusing me for ‘disobedience’ as well as the indefinite isolation in this particular cell, unofficially, until I consent in the realization of this particular search investigation or (until) the disciplinary transfer is made.
-I remain, ever since, under this special detention regime, awaiting my jail transfer.
-It’s clear, judging by the analogy itself between the initial denial and the subsequent penalty, that the whole issue has a minimum relation with the specific investigation and the possible consequences that it’s denial can have in the jail’s function. The declarations from the prison’s administration side, speaking about their fear that this particular practice could become a common one, as well as the threats -during the prisoners’ mobilizations 4 months ago- which were actually pre-announcing the imposition of a disciplinary jail transfer against me, on the 26th of March, have much more to say about the essence of this two-months isolation, than all the rhetorics upon prison security measures, spoken on behalf of the prison’s directors.
-The prison’s environment consists primarily a totalitarian mechanism of authoritarian reproduction. Being the hardened reflection of the wider social situation, jail holds the role of a laboratory, where the procedure of the individual’s obedience towards the authority, happens in the most absolute way.
Within the prison’s environment, nothing occurs by chance.
From the spatial planning to the procedures of the ‘benefits’ and the disciplinary penalties, every aspect of the correctional system’s function is built in a way that the prisoners should internalize the ideas of permanent surveillance, slavishness, snitching and no-term obedience to the orders.
Within this condition, where they try to take every part of your existence away from your control, that the bars intend to find their way inside you until your dreams to stay imprisoned behind them, what inviolably remains under your control, is the choice of negation. Negations that stay always partial, ‘few’, among the countless contracts you make daily. It would be hard for anyone to claim that he remained totally disobedient inside the walls.
-Speaking particularly upon the search investigation procedure, there would certainly be lots to write. Through stripping, bending and coughing, the prisoner’s position within the prison’s hierarchy is tried to be made clear under the most evident way, while at the same time this procedure is marked as a central and crucial act of his transformation, from a dignified person into a manipulated object.
-The actual denial of this procedure is a minimum denial of this particular imposed position. This denial, however, unquestionably does not consist the epitome of all negations. Neither some thin line separating dignity from non-dignity. But what it does consist, is the drawing of a border, which stands as a reminder to myself as well as to every uniformed person, that I am still alive, that I do not obey, that the prison has not entered inside me.
-These two months of isolation, are the cost of this very disobedience. Having -since the beginning- rejected the possibility to succumb to the blackmail of agreeing for the investigation in order for this situation to finish, I decided to demand its end in a dynamic way, using the only means available. Therefore, I started a trolley-food denial on the 5th of May, demanding the immediate end of this condition and an immediate jail transfer. One week later, realizing that this symbolic move was inefficient, i decided to use the ultimate means that someone has under this circumstances and start a hunger strike on May’s 15th, demanding the satisfaction of the above.
I would like to send my warm comrade greetings to all those that broke the walls of isolation through their words and actions, both inside and outside the prisons…

Rami Syrianos

Seven Greek anarchists under investigation

Seven Greek anarchists under investigation
source: stampa di regime, 12 maggio 2012
The power of attorney of Bologna has concluded the investigation on a parcel bomb that was sent to Silvio Berlusconi from Greece. The event forced a Tnt plane to an emergency landing  at the Marconi airport on November 2 2010. Among the seven people who received notice of the conclusion of the investigation, there are the four anarchists whose names are mentioned in the claim of the attack on Roberto Adinolfi.
The seven Greek anarchists – all of them imprisoned in their country –  are accused in Bologna, on the basis of the investigation of the Greek authority, of committing an attack with terrorist aims and of possession of explosive material with subversive aims.

The investigated people are Georgios Nikolopoulos, aged 26 anni; Christos Tsakalos, aged 33; Panagiotis Argyrou, aged 24; Gerasimos Tsakalos, aged 26; Giorgio Karaghiannidi, aged 32; Charilaou Chatzimichelaki, aged 24; Alexandrou Mitrousiaaged 23. The names of the first four people appear in the claim sent to the Corriere della Sera yesterday.
The Greek authorities believe the seven are members of the Conspiracy of the Cells of Fire, which belong to the galaxy of the Informal Anarchist Federation. The Ccf/Fai claimed the campaign of parcel bombs in Greece. Parcel bombs were sent to some European leaders, including Sarkozy, Merkel and Berlusconi at the end of 2010.
The Bologna investigation, carried out by the Digos and coordinated by public prosecutor Enrico Cieri, relied a lot on the results of the Greek investigation, which led to the imprisonment of the seven. Some assessments were carried out by rogatory, while others were made directly in Athens by the Bologna investigators, who brought the results of their examination on the parcel bomb found on the plane to their Greek colleagues.
The seven Greek anarchists are accused of having fabricated and sent the parcel bomb addressed to Berlusconi. The parcel was loaded on a plane of the Tnt flying from Athens to Liege. The alarm was raised because of the name of the Italian prime minister as addressee. The plane, which was flying over Italy, was made to land in Bologna at 10pm.
The explosive device was placed inside a law text written in Greek, which had been cut so that some gunpowder and a primer could be put inside it. The activation system was made by an electric circuit, a halogen lamp fed by eight batteries of 1.5 volt, a peg working as fire switch and gunpowder with explosive material.

Greece – Athens -REVOLUTIONARY STRUGGLE TRIAL UPDATE,Session 16, Wednesday 14/3/12

Act for freedom now!/boubourAs

Session 16, Wednesday 14/3/12

The session began with a statement by P.Roupa concerning the failed attack of the R.S. against the Citibank headquarters in Kifissia. Citibank, shesaid, is a criminal organization of the international elite, whichexpresses the interests of the richest families in the USA.

It isresponsible for war crimes, the destruction of whole countries, and thedeath of thousands of people. She gave examples from Peru, where povertyand destruction caused a cholera epidemic, from Mozambique, where by 2020 it is expected that a quarter of the farming population will have died and others. She spoke of the strategy of the international capital after WW2 to surpass some obstacles in the movement of capitals, which had been imposed with the struggle and blood of the people, in which Citibank led. And we, concluded P.Roupa, are called to be tried as terrorists and criminals!   They are the criminals.

Evgenia Drosou, a witness for the attack on N.Ionias police station, is another example of where terror-hysteria can lead. This lady, before the attack, had seen a tall man wearing clothes resembling Navy clothes, but with no stripes, walking back and forth outside her house for quite a while. She thought this was suspicious, spoke to a friend of hers “who is with the police” and she told her to go and testify this. When she saw the photos of the arrested on the TV, many years later, she kind of…. recognized Kortesis. Even though she had described someone almost a head taller than Kortesis, about 15 years older (she mentioned a man around 40-45 years old) and without a beard. Even in the court she didn’t hesitate to turn around, point at Kortesis and say: “he kind of looks like that gentleman”. The chairman politely disdained her: “I am afraid that your testimony is not valid”. Followed two cops from the Voulgarakis case, who were called to testify thanks to the insistence of accused members of the R.S. From their testimonies it was proven first of all that Voulgarakis is a major liar and second that the decision consciously created incidents, in order to support the attempted homicide charge.

Kanellopoulos, a cop of the antiterrorist force testified that he got the order to search the whole area which had visual contact with the spotwhere the explosive mechanism was placed, because the superiors were convinced that the explosion was carried out with a remote control, considering no leftovers of a clock mechanism were found. And, in a bush, he found a remote control with an antenna from a model vehicle, which was investigated, found that it belonged to a specific company and themanagers of the company explained, as is shown in the trial brief as well, that it is a precision remote, with a security against interference on itsfrequency. As soon as the remote was found, officials of the DAEEB showedup at the spot, amongst which his own superior, the infamous FotisPapageorgiou. He clarified, also, that the specific bush offered cover anda possibility for a getaway to whoever would detonate the mechanism.G.Ananias, handler of dogs who detect explosives, was also very clear. Hewas in charge of checking the area, before Voulgarakis comes out. His wifehad left before, but he never left before the area was checked by the dog. He therefore disputed Voulgarakis fairy-tale, that he had left, came back because he forgot something and that’s how he barely made it. “My opinionis”, testified the cop, “that the mechanism was completely controlled.

Because I was moving towards the bomb, it is sure that I would have found it; the dog would have smelled it. That’s why they detonated it, before I got there. If they wanted to hit me, then they would have detonated it five seconds later when I would be right above the mechanism. I am saying that they didn’t want to kill me”. With the interventions made immediately after by P.Roupa and N.Maziotis pointed out that from the testimonies of those two witnesses, two cops, is confirmed totally what R.S. in its communique. That is that the action was cancelled and the mechanism was detonated at the right moment so to not fall into the hands of the antiterrorist and with complete control so no one gets hurt. Not even the cop with the dog, who was not a target of the organization. But, the trial order speaks of a clock mechanism! For what reason? So that there is an attempted homicide charge. P.Roupa asked that the examination continues and that the head of the Antiterrorist H.Balakos and the department head F.Papageorgiou are called to testify, who have full knowledge of the real incidents. It is proven that we were right all along to suggest witnesses, noted N.Maziotis. what was written in the communique was confirmed. That if the organization wanted to “get” the cop with the dog it would have “got” him. There was complete carefulness by the comrades, Noted P.Roupa, so that no one except Voulgarakis got hurt. Advocate D.Vagianou, after noting Voulgarakis lie, upon which the charge was structured, she dealt with an important legal issue. The validity or not of an attempt.
This in legal terms means that from the moment the committer, with his/hers deliberate intervention, disrupted the act, the attempt is non-valid, so there’s no homicide attempt. P.Roupa, in a new intervention, stated that R.S. always took into consideration the area and the intensity of the hit class struggle dictates. The people who carried out an action had full knowledge of the radius as well as the dangers for pedestrians and drivers. In this specific case, the cop with the dog would have got to the mechanism. You would either hit them or you would cancel the action. The organization did not want the mechanism to fall into the hands of the cops; it did not want to hit Ananias, that’s why the mechanism was destroyed. The prosecutor, considering that the matter is over (neither were these two witnesses necessary, he said!) proposed to not call Baltakos and Papageorgiou.
The court had a small meeting and decided to refuse the demand to call them. Is pending the general demand of calling witnesses, which we will look at in the future, said the chairman. After that, began the examination of witnesses from the attack on the stock exchange. Security guard G.Mavroidatos, a young man with a degree, who speaks many foreign languages, was working in the company Prince Security and was on the night shift at the stock exchange reception. The security guards in the control room saw a van on the cameras and told him to go and check it, he thought it was suspicious but before the guards got a chance to inform, the cops showed up and told them to evacuate the building.
They kicked out the cleaning lady, they also saw the cops leaving, but they got an order from their superior Kokkini to remain inside! And they didn’t send them to the data room, an internal refuge where all the electronic data from the stock exchange is held, but in the camera room, which was external, on the side where the explosion took place! The organization, said N.Maziotis, put 150 kilos of dynamite to hit the stock exchange, warned of a heavy explosion by giving 40minutes and asked that the neighbouring buildings are also evacuated.
These people got an order not to leave. And the charge speaks of danger to human lives. Who put human lives in danger? As an organization there is no way we would put security guards in danger. The bosses however, consider them disposable. It is a lie and hypocritical to accuse us that we put human lives in danger. Others put lives in danger. And still, the charging authorities did not call the other three security guards and their superior Kokkini to testify. N.Maziotis submitted a demand to call them to testify. When I was in prison and got the testimonies of these people I was speechless, said P.Roupa.
The R.S. knew that there would be security guards and cleaning personnel, that’s why it asked for the evacuation of the nearby buildings. And they still left those people inside! Why? For the stock exchange. It is shameful that we are tried for endangering human lives, when others are the guilty ones. Seeing the reality, the prosecutor tried to make a manoeuvre. Maybe many people have responsibilities, he said, but this trial does not care about responsibilities of third parties, but only of the accused.
And then he threw his caustic remark: if R.S., by putting 150 kilos in a residential area thought there would be no danger! “It is not a residential area”, N.Maziotis corrected him calmly, and the prosecutor did not continue, but did not take back his “reflection” either. D.Vagianou noted that legally the prosecutor goes into the theory of equivalent terms. Which means that independently of the responsibilities of third parties, the action of RS created equivalent danger. However, the attitude of the security officials and cops who did not carry out the evacuation of the buildings is vital for the penal law. The “no matter what, people were endangered”, besides the legal matter, raises a heavier political matter, commented P.Roupa.
That is to say, no matter how many measures you take, you create dangers. No, the action of the RS has shown that it does not create such dangers. Armed action exists in greece before the RS and the revolutionaries always made sure there is no danger for people. The responsibility is on the cops who had been warned and had the time to evacuate all the buildings, where there were very few people. Aristidis Darlis was the janitor of ‘Eleftheortypia’ newspaper, who happened to receive the warning call.
He confirmed that they told of a strong explosion that will happen, about a van loaded with explosives, while they even gave him the exact location of the van. Because of his clear testimony, P.Roupa commented again that the location and time was given, therefore the responsibility lies exclusively with the cops, who put simply put some ribbons to isolate the area and did not evacuate the neighbouring buildings.
“Honestly”, she asked, “why have witnesses from only actions of the organization have been called? Are you trying to imply that on other actions there was no warning call? There was always enough time given for the cops to isolate the area and evacuate the buildings”. She concluded with the submission of a demand to call as witnesses all the phone operators of ‘Eleftherotypia’ who have received warning calls in all the actions of the organization, so every shadow can leave and it can be proven that in all actions there was providence so that people were not endangered.
Then came the turn of the capitalists. Eleftherios Politaridis, manager of human resources of the stock exchange, having heard the testimony of the security guard Mavroidatos, tried to make him out to be a liar. Constantly repeating that human life above all, he claimed that the guards had an order from the company to leave, but… they didn’t leave! “They stayed inside under the state of panic and maybe there was some misunderstanding”. However, Mavroidatos –who was fired a year after the incident- had testified that the rules forbid them to leave and that after the incident the rules changed.
When confronted by D.Vagianou and M.Daliani, the manager tried to avoid it with a desperate defence, but at the end when he was asked if he investigated, after the incident, why the guards remained inside, he… remained silent! Politaridis should be ashamed, commented P.Roupa. Behind this rule, which made the security guards stay inside, is an aim: to not disrupt the function of the stock exchange.
That’s why they mortgaged the lives of three people. A significant executive of the system consented to a crime. And instead of saying “we made a mistake”, he’s trying to make a liar out of the employee. This shows the kind of these executives. In the beginning they didn’t care and then, faced with it would cost their company with this revelation, they come and lie. Followed the leading consultant of STAKOR SA Michael Kortesis. STAKOR is right across the stock exchange and as the boss said they had damages of about 3,5 million euro.
And while the guard of the building has testified that he was miraculously saved, because he saw the cops and went and asked them what’s going on and they told him to leave, Kortesis blatantly tried to make the cops look good, by saying that the guard came out and saw the cops coming towards him to inform him. He was immediately disputed by Ioannis Skrekas, employee of AKRITAS SECURITY, who was a guard that night a STAKOR.
He described what happened in detail. No one told him to go. Fifteen minutes before the explosion, he saw lights from flashlights lighting up the trees. He came out to see what’s going on, saw the cops looking for the bomb in the trees!!!, asked what’s going on and then they told him “get out of here now, there’s a bomb”! If I didn’t get, I would have been blown up, he testified. That’s when the chairman, despite being generally reserved, committed the second big ‘foul’ since the beginning of the trial. “Casualties are also the labourers, not only the capitalists.
I am mentioning this so the accused can hear me”. He said. In other words, adding to what the prosecutor said earlier, he showed that he has made his decisions in key matters of the charge. This witness still works for the same company. This is why when he was asked his opinion about if the cops acted good or bad, if they protected him, he answered “Ask the cops if they acted good or bad. I do not want to express my opinion”. N.Maziotis noted that the leading consultant lied and called the court to decide to call the head of security of the stock exchange and the other three security guards. P.Roupa commented that the chairman’s statement was discriminatory; noting that he is trying to save the charge, trying in any way to get the R.S. attempted homicides.
But the court decided again that the incident was adequately investigated concerning the real incidents and concerning the warning from then organization R.S. and there is no reason for further investigation. This means they decided to not even call Kokkini, the supervisor of then security guards, who gave them the order to remain in the building. After that, D.Vagianou, according to the wish of her clients, asked that Politairidis is prosecuted for perjury. First the prosecutor and then the chairman said that the only thing they can do is send the minutes to the penal prosecutor, because their court is not responsible. The advocate in the end submitted a lawsuit against Politairidis.

Prisiones griegas: Traslado disciplinario a Olga Ekonomidou

Greece – Disciplinary transfer of Olga Economidou to Diavata prisons 6/5/12

A few days ago comrade –member of the Conspiracy Cells of Fire Olga Economidou was transported with a special transfer from Thebes prisons to the female prisons of Diavata.

Her transportation took place within the frames of a disciplinary transfer imposed on her, because of her attitude and her decency which could not be tolerated from the Thebes prison service.

When they took her to Diavata prisons, she refused to be submitted to the procedure of the humiliating body search resulting to the comrade now being alone in a newcomer’s cell. She has refused to enter Diavata prisons asking to be transferred elsewhere, while at the same time in her cell there is a  cctv camera which has already been covered twice from Olga causing the reaction of the prison guards.

NO COMRADE SHOULD BE LEFT ALONE

en it - About anarchist comrade Rami Syrianos being in solitary confinement – Greece

by *s*Sunday May 6 2012

Comrade Rami Syrianos is being held for over a month (since 26th of March) in solitary confinement of Serres’ Nigrita Prison, in the ‘cells for the newcomers’.
After the latest postponement of his court -for which he was moved the same morning to the courts of Thessaloniki and was turned back the same day to Nigrita Prison- he denied once again the humiliating process of body search [the prisoner is supposed to take off his underwear and cough while bending] and was taken subsequently to the prosecutor the next day, which imposed him the penalty of ‘disciplinary jail transfer’.
Our comrade is being isolated from the prison’s wings ever-since, in one of the “newcomers’ cells”. These particular spaces, apart of the name, are not at all different than the typical solitary confinement cells. Spaces made for the ones that arrive to any jail for a first time as well as for those coming back from an ‘exit permission’. Isolated from all the common-used spaces, without any yarding (in our comrade’s case, he ‘s permitted to have a walk of half an hour in a corridor in order to make one-two phonecalls per day…)

We should note, speaking in their own terms, that the maximum disciplinary isolation penalty that someone could get cannot overpass 10 days…We note this not to denounce just another ‘irregularity’ of the prison system, which on its own basis consists anyway probably the worst irrationalism of the human existence, but to let one of its largest aspects be shown.
Apart of depriving “freedom”, the physical restriction, the control and supervision, it ‘s more about flattening the prisoner’s dignity. When all the previous are not enough to achieve this, the system needs to invent other ways…
And while Rami Syrianos remains isolated for over a month, waiting for the prison transfer that is imposed to him, his lawyer was informed today [27/4] through the ministry of justice that the disciplinary decision has not been yet sent to the ministry, obviously not by any mistake, meaning that his ‘accommodation’ in Nigrita Prison under solitary confinement is being extended.
We would like to remind that our comrade continues the trolley-food denial since 11/4, in solidarity with the hunger strikers of the C.C.F. members as well as with Alexandros Mitrousias, Kostas Sakkas and Giorgos Karagiannidis, as the comrades of C.C.F. keep on striking demanding the final transfer of P.Argyrou and G.Tsakalos from the Domokos’ prison.
PS: We would like to mention the fact that another prisoner, C.D., was the only one from the whole 2nd wing of the jail that started a trolley-food denial in solidarity with Rami Syrianos’ situation, a denial that started since the very first day of Rami’s penalty and that is being continued up to now.
C.D. denied to enter inside his cell on April 14th, protesting Rami’s absence from the common spaces of the prison. He was obliged to spend a night in isolation and threatened to receive a disciplinary penalty as well, a threat that was hopefully not made.
UNTIL THE DESTRUCTION OF THE LAST PRISON
ALWAYS BY THE SIDE OF THOSE WHO CHOOSE TO WALK IN LIFE WITH DIGNITY
SOLIDARITY IS OUR WEAPON
