In the end, an antifascist from Philadelphia was arrested after the neo-Nazis menacingly approached the antifascists, with every intention of assaulting them. Showing their true colors, police rushed in to defend the neo-Nazis and arrest the antifascists, leaving the fascists free to walk the streets while the antifa was carted away to jail.

As part of a supposed national day of protests organized by various fascist groups, over a dozen neo-Nazis appeared at the state capitol in Harrisburg, PA today to “to arouse the attention of mainstream media to the rapes, murders and other horrendous ATROCITIES our brethren in South Africa [read: white racists] endure on a DAILY BASIS.”

Antifascists from across the region organized to counter this insanely racist propaganda the neo-Nazis were attempting to spout, trying to both shout them down and block their signs so their hateful rhetoric would neither be seen or heard.

In the end, an antifascist from Philadelphia was arrested after the neo-Nazis menacingly approached the antifascists, with every intention of assaulting them. We do not have much more information at this point, but we are being told that the person arrested is being charged with simple assault, possession of a concealed non-lethal weapon and at least two other charges. His arraignment is scheduled for sometime tonight – probably after 9PM. We will have the exact bail amount and more information then. In the meantime, considering the number and severity of the charges we do know about, we are starting to fundraise bail money.

ANDENNE - After the announcing of a new regime in the prison of Andenne, several protests took place. In the beginning of the week, the prisoners blocked the walking yard for some hours. Two days later, another group of prisoners refused to go back to their celles after the afternoon-walk. They protested against the new regime and demanded a collective transfer to another prison. The prison board refused to discuss. The rebelling prisonners stayed on the yard till 3 'o clock in the night, lightning a fire to warm themselves. At the end, the special intervention units of the police penetrated in the prison. Some irriductibles opposed themselves, but were finally driven back. About ten of them were put in isolation and transferred some days later.

A letter of a prisoner explaining the new regime, which in its generals lines is also being applied in other prisons. It comes down to a more rigid separation between the sections, each section having it's own rules, hours and "privileges". For most of the prisoners, it means 22h/24 on cell.

J'ai dit à la direction: "Je constate que la nazification de vos prisons continue. Avec votre nouveau régime hyper répressif et sécuritaire, vous allez au devant de graves ennuis. Le régime va rendre votre prison ingérable. Vous allez avoir des demandes de transfert à gogo. Comme il y en aura trop, ce sera refusé. Personnellement, si j'avais 20 ans ou perpète à faire, je prendrais un gardien un otage pour dégager d'ici et ensuite expliquer les conditions de détention inhumaines ici. Vous ne semblez pas réaliser ce que c'est d'être enfermé 24h/24 après des années de détention. Vous nous parlez que ce régime est progréssif! C'est une arnaque. Votre régime, c'est 1h15 en fait 3/4 heure par jour de préau si on est bien "sage". 68 détenus sur 420 ont cela! Maintenant, ceux enfermés ne peuvent même pas passer une revue, à bouffer à un voisin. Ce n'est même pas le régime d'isolement français, c'est le RCS permanent [régime cellulaire stricte].Vous êtes inconscients et je le maintiens!"

Andenne - Protestations à la prison
ANDENNE - Suite à l'annonce de l'instauration d'un nouveau régime dans la prison d'Andenne, plusieurs protestations des détenus ont eu lieu. En début de semaine, le préau a été bloqué pendant quelques heures. Deux jours plus tard, quelques dizaines de prisonniers refusent de réintegrer les cellules après le préau de l'après-midi. Ils protéstent contre le nouveau régime et exigent un transfert collectif vers d'autres prisons. La direction refuse d'engager des pourparlers. Les prisonniers rebelles resteront jusqu'à 3h du matin sur le préau. Ils allument un feu au milieu du préau pour se rechauffer. Enfin, ce sont les unités d'intervention spéciale de la police fédérale qui interviennent afin de rétablir l'ordre. Quelques irréductibles s'y opposent, mais sont finalement vaincus et mis au cachot. Une dizaine d'entre eux seront transférés quelques jours plus tard.

Voici un courrier d'un prisonnier expliquant ce nouveau régime. Aussi dans d'autres prisons, comme à Ittre, des changements similaires sont en cours.

Marino será extraditada para ser juzgada por su relación con la lucha contra la experimentación animal.

La activista por los derechos de los animales Camille Marino fue detenida el sábado 4 de Febrero mientras asistía a una manifestación pacífica contra la vivisección. Aquél evento también servía como homenaje a dos monos que habían sido torturados hasta la muerte en la Universidad de Florida. Apasionada y firme defensora de los animales, Camille se encuentra ahora esperando su extradición a Detroit, MI. Se espera que comparezca ante el jurado por los cargos que se le imputan en relación a la campaña contra el famoso vivisector Donal O´Leary, un investigador de la Universidad del estado de Wayne.

Durante dos décadas, el Comité de Médicos por una Medicina Responsable (PCRM) ha definido los experimentos realizados por Donal O´Leary como “serias violaciones” del Acta de Bienestar Animal de Estados Unidos. El PCRM ha pedido a legisladores federales que investiguen el laboratorio privado del profesor O´Leary, por sus numerosas torturas a perros, las cuales son descritas por el PCRM como “agonía sin alivio”.

Indignada por el terrible sufrimiento de esos perros, Camille publicó noticias y detalles sobre los horribles experimentos del profesor O´Leary en su página web. Fue entonces cuando O´Leary interpuso (y ganó) una orden judicial para que todos esos datos fuesen quitados de la página web. A Camille Marino también se le ordenó que “no publicase nada sobre O´Leary en páginas web u otros medios sociales”. Teniendo en cuenta que la información personal sobre O´Leary podía encontrarse fácilmente a través de varias páginas de internet y que también había un montón de informes de los medios sobre las atrocidades del Profesor, la medida era absurda. Y lo más importante, era (y es) una violación directa de los derechos constitucionales de Camille protegidos bajo la Primera Enmienda.

Lo que sigue es un ejemplo de lo que Donal O´Leary hizo, con dinero de los contribuyentes, a un asustadizo, abandonado y triste perro de una perrera. Una dálmata llamada Queenie:

“De acuerdo con grabaciones médicas obtenidas mediante el Acta de Libertad de la Información, el tórax de Queenie fue abierto para que los investigadores pudiesen instalar artefactos en su interior. Tras una segunda intervención para implantar más instrumentos, fue forzada a correr en una máquina con catéteres saliendo de su cuerpo e incisiones supurando fluidos corporales, causándole dolor y angustia. Se le indujo hipertensión reduciendo la presión sanguínea en sus riñones. El 29 de Junio de 2010, Queenie (quien fuese algún día animal de compañía y obtenida ahora de una perrera) fue asesinada en el laboratorio, cuando uno de los artefactos se rompió y se retractó en su interior.”

Camille se encuentra encerrada en la cárcel del Condado de Alachua, en Gainesville, Florida. Ha sido clasificada como una presa de máxima seguridad, y como hemos dicho, se encuentra a la espera de su extradición. Camille es considerada como una fugitiva. Una vez esté en Michigan puede que, también, se enfrente a cargos adicionales en relación a su campaña por sacar a la luz los bárbaros y sádicos actos infligidos a animales inocentes por Donal O´Leary. No dejaremos de luchar por la justicia para estos animales ni por la justicia para Camille! Los vivisectores como O´Leary son los auténticos criminales… los auténticos terroristas… y son ellos quienes deberían ser llevados ante la justicia!

-Tememos que Camille tenga que enfrentarse a un largo, costoso y prolongado proceso judicial. El complejo de la vivisección se compone de industria, empresa, leyes y gobiernos. Camille necesitará todo nuestro apoyo para poder enfrentarse a este poderoso conglomerado, así que por favor, ayudadle difundiendo su caso, sacando a la luz las barbaries de la vivisección, y donando a su cuenta de apoyo!

NUEVO INDULTO A TORTURADORES

En Diciembre de 2009 el Tribunal Supremo condenó a 5 mossos del grupo de atracos por un caso grave de torturas acaecido en la comisaria de Les Corts. El Ministerio de Justicia una vez más, como viene siendo su habitual tendencia, ha propuesto el indulto en base a “investigaciones policiales posteriores” que han aportado nueva información no tenida en cuenta en la celebración del juicio.

Los agentes Manuel Farré Muñoz, Joan Salva Páez, Jordi Perisse Blanco, Fernando Cea López y Alejandro García Avilés resultan beneficiados por la medida de gracia que ha adoptado el Consejo de Ministros, además esta medida les permitirá volver a ejercer de policías. Una vez más asistimos a la protección que el poder político otorga a los mercenarios a su servicio, dejando a su tan vanagloriada justicia( que a tantos otro condena) impotente.

Allanamientos en Territorio de Trafun. Se agrava conflicto

"Una información tras otra desde Trafun, la semana pasada nos encontramos con la sorpresa que los trabajadores del fundo las vertientes, sacaron a tirones con bueyes el palenque del guillatuwe del antiguo lugar ceremonial en trafun, cruzaron el puente y lo embarcaron en un camión"...Ahora se agregan violentos allanamientos....

Comunicado Los Küpalche o comunidades Juan Painepi y Vicente Reinahuel del Lofmapu o territorio de Trafun mapu y el Parlamento mapuche de Koz koz, comunicamos a la opinión pública, lo siguiente. 1. Que el dia jueves 23 del presente mes de febrero, nuestra hermana Uberlinda Pichilef, de 60 años de edad, cuidadora de un inmueble de propiedad de Rumualdo Antihuala Painepi, siendo las 3 de la madrugada sufrió un ataque violento de parte de la policía uniformada, ella se encontraba con su hija menor de 13 años. En el instante en que irrumpieron la vivienda obligaron a ambas salir por la fuerza, afuera de su casa habitación semi desnuda, sin dar motivo alguno del que llamaban allanamiento, luego de registrar la habitación los policias se retiraron en su veiculo, declaración que dio a conocer la propia afectada Uberlinda Pichilef a los miembros de las comunidades del territorio de Trafunmapu, quienes se encuentran en proceso de reivindicación de tierras ancestrales. 2. Del mismo modo el día siguiente, viernes 24, a las 14:30 horas, fue atacada en su vivienda la anciana Ignacia Reinahuel, de 80 años de edad en el momento que se encontraba sola, por 15 efectivos policiales, quienes sin dar motivo invadieron con porfía la casa habitación en donde no extrajeron ninguna especie, después de retirarse del lugar, se encontraron con un joven de 19 años de nombre Felipe Torres Painepi, quienes apresaron bajo amenazo y lo trasladaron al reten de Liquiñe, en donde declaró inocencia de acusaciones y preguntas que le formulaban. En este ejecusión dejan un acta y certificado de registro del lugar autorizado por el juez de garantía sin su firma, pero el documento esta firmado por el suboficial Barriento a cargo del operativo y además dos cabo 1°, de nombre Marcos Mora Mora y Luis Castillo Contreras. 3. Tanto los moradoras como el joven no pusieron resistencia alguna, ya que fueron bruscamente sorprendidos por estos hechos, sin embargo, la preocupacion de los habitantes se ve gravemente afectada ante cualquier otro tipo de amedrentamiento y cobardía policial por su arremetida contra personas solitarias al interior de la comunidad. 4. Repudiamos a los actos repugnantes de parte de la policia, consideramos estos hechos de allanamiento como asalto a nuestras propiedades. Esta responsabilidad también es competencia de las autoridades politicas, ya que hace bastante tiempo le hemos solicitado al intendente de la Region de los Ríos Juan Andres Varas su disposición para una salida oportuna a este reclamo a través de la Conadi, en donde este comprometió su voluntad, que hasta la fecha no hemos encontrado, por otro lado, hemos dado las indicaciones correspondientes para nuestra actividades al gobernador de la provincia valdivia que hacia de intendente subrogante, quien tiene el madato del ministerio del interior para resguardar nuestros derechos y libertades consuetudinarias. The ALF has claimed responsibility for an attack on the Orfei-Errani circus in Latina during the night of February 8-9. Several billboards advertising the circus were damaged, and a truck and ticket office belonging to the circus were vandalized.

The activists wrote, "We hope to have caused as much economic damage as possible to the exploiters. This is a declaration of war, you're under fire, everywhere you go you will find one of our cells ready to strike. For you there will be no peace until ALL the cages are open and each individual can live free and wild in its natural habitat."

Portland: US Bank Vandalized

Communique for Night of 2/28

About an hour and a half ago (around ten pm, Tuesday night) a group of anticapitalists rolled up on the US Bank at SE 39th and Main and smashed out its windows and ATMs.
This was done in preparation for February 29th's Shut Down The Corporations Day. We chose a bank because banks have upheld the sanctity of capitalism, making it possible for a few people to accrue copious amounts of wealth. This was also for the role the banks have played in the current financial crisis and the level of environmental destruction they have supported. These banks are responsible for throwing poor and oppressed people the world over under the bus of extreme poverty and destitution. They did this all to keep the pockets of a few rich CEOs lined with extravagant bonuses, and it's time we started taking from those pockets.

We also did this to remind #Occupy to keep its horizons open. Rather than resort to the gory analogy about cats, we prefer to say they're more than one way to shut down a corporation. Parades through the city may be able to accomplish this task on occasion, but at the end of the day there's really no replacement for a few dozen folks in masks with rocks. We don't know whether this will be taken as solidarity or antagonism by the core of Occupy, but frankly that isn't worth dwelling on for us. You said you wanted to help shut down corporations, and we helped to do that in our own way. Take it or leave it, we're going to keep doing it.
