Krakow banner drop in Solidarity with the prisoners in Greece and Chile(poland)

In response to solidarity demonstrations for the political prisoners on Saturday in Greece

and bearing in

mind the solidarity week for the Chilean fighters we decided to take some initiatives in

Krakow, Poland.

week for the Chilean fighters we decided to take some initiatives in Krakow, Poland the place

where solidarity movement

was born and where it seems this word has been forgotten. This is the first in a series of actions

that will take place.

We can be easily distracted by Krakow’s luring and picturesque architecture and vibrant nightlife,

or its rich history.

But what is the point of learning about this history of struggle and visiting museums if we forget

about the struggles

of the present? Let us not be discouraged by the spectacle created by and for tourists, police

presence everywhere,

the surveillance cameras or even the bizarre existence of neo-nazis. Because as with uprisings

of the past, this city,

this country, harvests the seeds of rebellion in every corner.

With love and rage deep in our hearts we ignore the risks.

Burn the prisons!

En respuesta a las manifestacione de este sábado pasado en solidaridad

con los prisioneros politicos en Grecia y

tomando en cuenta la llamada a una semana de acciones en solidaridad

con los luchadores Chilenos decidimos

tomar algunas inciativas en la ciudad de Cracovia, Polonia – el lugar,

el país, donde nació el moviemento llamado

‘Solidaridad’, y donde parece ser que se ha olvidado esta palabra.

Esta acción es la primera en una

serie que se efectuarán. El banner lee en 3 idiomas, primero en polaco,

luego en griego y castellano para los camarad@s.

Es fácil distaerse con la arquitectura pintoresca y de ensueño de Cracovia,

así como con su vibrante vida nocturna, o su rica historia. ¿Pero cuál es

el punto de aprender sobre la historia de lucha de este lugar y visitar

museus si olvidamos las luchas del presente. No nos dejemos desanimar

por el espectaculo creado por y para los turistas, la presencia policial

en todas partes, las camaras de seguridad, o incluse la bizarra existencia

de neo-nazis. Por que, como en revueltas del pasado, esta ciudad,

este pais Polonia, cosecha semillas de rebelión en todas las esquinas.

Con amor y rabia profundo en nuestros corazones, ignoramos los riesgos.

¡Quemen las prisiones!
