New speed camera set on fire and completely destroyed — Baltimore, MD

Baltimore County police are trying to figure out who set fire to a recently installed speed camera in Catonsville.
Police received a call about 1:40 a.m. about the fire in the 400 block of South Rolling Road. Crews arrived and had to put out the blaze.
Crews quickly were able to determine that it was a malicious burning, police spokeswoman Elise Armacost said. The fire caused about $13,000 worth of damage, and officials said the camera is totally destroyed.
There are currently no suspects in the case. Anyone with information should contact Baltimore County police.
Meanwhile, county officials said they’ve contacted the camera vendor and expect to restore it in the near future.
Two other cameras are in the 500 block of South Rolling Road. Officials said they will continue to enforce speeding in the area and will rotate the cameras.
