Online Document: Green Scare Defendants Sentencing Memorandum

Though there are many critiques to be had of the Earth Liberation Front. This document is interesting in and of itself. It comes from the United States District Court in Oregon about the different actions taken by “the family” as the state deemed them. Even though many of the people that where part of these cells have now turned. It is quite lengthy in scope (about 159 pages well worth the read though), but it gives a blow by blow of their actions and some of the different time delay devices used throughout their time plus the depth of the communications they set up. One thing to also note in the introduction is that quote:

“Despite extensive multi-agency investigative efforts, these crimes remained unsolved until the government was able to secure a cooperating witness who knew about and indeed was a participant himself in many of the events. The identity of this individual has now been released. He is Jacob Jeremiah Ferguson, 34.”
