At 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 22, in the Athens neighborhood of Exarcheia, a fire broke out in a building housing two Tax Agencies. Several fire department vehicles and riot police squads shortly arrived on the scene.

The fire damaged most of the building’s first floor, as well as the facade of the second floor. Soon afterward, once the fire had been extinguished, more firefighters and riot police showed up to guard the site of the arson for a while before eventually leaving.
