In times when the poor are baptized as ‘beggars’ and the rich as ‘philanthropists’… in times of generalized crisis, when totalitarianism marches on, when the centre of Athens is under police state and being reconstructed, and people who struggle and come from the lower social strata are stigmatized as criminals, when migrants are targeted by the social acceleration of fascism and the racist pogroms… In these times the squats, as one more social mound of resistance and struggle against barbarity, are threatened by state repression…

In tempi in cui i poveri sono battezzati come dei “mendicanti” e i ricchi come “filantropi”… in tempi di crisi generalizzata, quando il totalitarismo avanza, quando il centro di Atene è sotto uno stato di polizia per essere ricostruito, e le persone che lottano e provengono dagli strati sociali più bassi sono stigmatizzate come criminali, quando i migranti sono oggetto dell’accelerazione della società verso il fascismo e dagli attacchi razzisti… In questi tempi i centri sociali, come collinette di resistenza e lotta contro la barbarie, sono minacciati dalla repressione di stato…
