Por segundo año consecutivo, hemos decidido organizar de nuevo un encuentro en el que el protagonismo recaiga sobre los animales no humanos.

En un momento de contexto social en donde la agitación, el enfado y la organización parece que se están incrementando, seguimos viendo que hay unxs grandes olvidados que sufren las consecuencias de todos nuestros actos y que sin embargo una tupida cortina cubre su opresión y explotación como si no existiese o careciera de importancia.

Nosotrxs consideramos que la lucha por la libertad nos hace enfrentarnos con todas y cada una de las caras de la dominación y que por ello debemos hacer un esfuerzo por sacudirnos el perjuicio del especismo que domina nuestras mentes y nuestros actos.

Por esto queremos dar voz a aquellxs que luchan contra la dominación y la explotación de los animales, sin olvidarnos de que somos pequeñxs invitadxs en un complejo e intrincado sistema natural, y que nuestras acciones en contra suya dejarán huella en la tierra como una factura que no sólo tendremos que pagar nosotrxs, sino todxs sus habitantes.

Entendemos que la lucha por la libertad de todos los animales, incluidos lxs humanxs, se extiende en múltiples frentes, en donde la imaginación y la estrategia tienen un papel fundamental. No debemos ignorar la existencia de otros tipos de mal llamadas “luchas” que refuerzan al estado y sus leyes, limpiando así la cara a un sistema de explotación como el capitalismo, en un intento por teñirlo de verde. Tan sólo depende de nosotrxs alejarnos y combatir también contra aquellos que en realidad son nuestros enemigos encubiertos.

Como una consecuencia lógica del enfrentamiento, recibiremos de cara de nuestros enemigos la represión. En el estado español ésta no se ha hecho esperar: en Junio fueron detenidas 12 personas, tres de ellas ingresaron en prisión y actualmente se encuentran en libertad con cargos y este Septiembre otro compañero ha sido detenido e ingresado en prisión preventiva.

Inocentes o culpables, legal o ilegal, son palabras que no reconocemos como propias y cuyo significado es manejado por aquellos que ostentan el poder. Frente a esto, nosotrxs sólo podemos demostrar nuestra fuerza en forma de solidaridad y de continuidad.

Por todo ello y siguiendo la línea del año anterior, hemos intentado que el contenido de las jornadas parta desde un principio básico y asumido como es el antiespecismo, intentando centrarnos en aquellos puntos más prácticos y en los que creemos están menos trabajados o difundidos. Esperamos crear un espacio de debate y práctica que sea útil y nos haga avanzar aunque sólo sea un poco hacia nuestros objetivos. Os animamos a todxs a participar y a romper con las dinámicas pasivas que se suelen generar en estos actos.

For second year in a row, we decided to organize a gathering where the main issue was “the non human animals”.

At a time of social context where the unrest, the anger and the organization seem to be increasing, we realize that there are great forgotten who suffer the consequences of our actions and, however, a close-woven curtain covers their opression and exploitation as if they do not exist or were less important.

We believe that the struggle for freedom makes us deal with each and every one of the domination faces and therefore we make an effort to shake off the prejudice of speciesism that rules our minds and our acts.

That is why we give voice to those who fight against domination and exploitation of animals, not to forget that we are little guests in a complex and intricate natural system, and that our actions against them, will leave a footprint on earth as a bill that all of its inhabitants will have to pay.

We understand that the struggle for the freedom of all animals, including humans, covers multiple fronts, where imagination and strategy play a key role. We should not ignore the existence of other types of wrongly called “struggles” to strengthen State and their laws, thus showing up the real face of an operating system such as capitalism, in an attempt to dye it green. It just depends on us to keep us away and fight those who are actually our undercover enemies.

As a logical consequence of confrontation, we will receive repression from our enemies. In the Spanish State is not long in coming: in June 2011, 12 people were arrested, three of them were admitted to prison and were released with charges in September and another fellow has been detained in custody.

Innocent or guilty, legal or illegal, are words that do not recognize as own and whose meaning is handled by those who hold the power. Against this, we can only show our strenght in the form of solidarity and continuity.

For all these reasons and in line with the last year, we tried that the contest of the gathering starts from a basic principle assumed: antispeciesism, trying to focus on those practical points that we believe are less worked or spread. We hope to create a space for discuss and practice that might be useful and let us move forward even just a little towards our goals. We encourage all of you to participate and break the passivity that often appears in these events.
