(en/es)-GREECE- PATRAS – Gathering at the prisons of Agios Stefanos

In the afternoon of Sunday February 19th, a solidarity gathering took place for the prisoners of Agios Stefanos in Patra, who together with prisoners from many other prisons around the country are fighting for better prison conditions, against the hellholes of the prisons and the torture of confinement.

About 80 comrades participated in the gathering. For more than 2 hours we shouted chants of solidarity to the prisoners, while there was a p.a. set up from which a text in solidarity to their struggle was read, and there was a phone call from one of the prisoners who gave us an image of the horrible conditions which exist inside the prisons.

The struggle against the prisons and the barbaric institution of confinement cannot but be an inalienable piece of the total struggle for a world without exploitation and oppression, without state and authority. Patras, Grecia: Concentración de solidaridad con lxs presxs en lucha
La tarde del domingo, 19 de febrero, se llevó a cabo una concentración en solidaridad con lxs presxs en lucha, por fuera de las cárceles de Agios Stefanos, en la ciudad de Patras. Los internos de la cárcel de Agios Stefanos, así como lxs de muchas otras prisiones en toda Grecia, están intensificando su lucha, denunciando las inhumanas condiciones del encarcelamiento en las mazmorras de la asquerosa democracia griega.

Durante las 2 horas de la concentración, que contó con la participación de 80 compas solidarixs, se transmitieron a través de megafonía mensajes de apoyo, se gritaron consignas anticarcelarias, y además hubo comunicación telefónica con uno de los presos, que intentó dar una imagen de las condiciones horribles que están reinando en la otra parte del muro.

La lucha contra las prisiones y el aislamiento, es parte integral de la lucha por una sociedad sin explotación y represión, sin Estado y autoridad.
