In a climate of media lynching aimed at intimidating the many individuals from joining the struggles in which anarchists are committed due to the scorched earth around them (that with Maroni announced its deadly descent into the city) the arrest of someone was necessary.

Because the police are there; the police have been there. It’s all under control.

We are the usual suspects: every expression of non-recuperable dissent must be distorted, circumscribed to a “private war” between power and its declared enemies, to defuse its social trajectory and thwart its potential.

As if, after subtracting the anarchists, in this world of commodities there would only be docile subjects convinced they live in the best of all possible worlds.

Yet notice that in the world in which we live, there is no need to be one of the subversives: from the impending nuclear threat to the war of occupation in Libya abroad; from the ruling militarization to the imprisonment of migrants at home… the daily catastrophe of the society of profit is suffered by everyone.

At a time when the dark resignation that too often hovers over the northern coast of the Mediterranean is illuminated by the insurrections that inflame the southern coast.

At a time when the N.A.T.O. issue a report (Urban Operations in the Year 2020) in which its analysts envision scenarios for 2020 in which the army will be massively used to quell revolts in poor suburbs of large western cities.

In times of crisis, you cannot be surprised if the spread of the anarchist ideal (especially if advocated by individuals who do not wait with folded hands for the future arrival of a free and federated humanity but instead fight here and now, throwing themselves into play) disturbs the dreams of those who command.

In reality when viewed clearly, in a society such as this the only “role” that is ethically acceptable is that of the enemy within:
- I do not want to be complicit in a society that devastates the earth our host
- I do not want to be complicit in an economy that, in order to survive, needs to continue wars and reduce entire populations to hunger
- I do not want to be complicit in the guards who rape and kill in the barracks, in the CIE, in police stations and in prisons
- I will not be an accomplice of a society that develops nanotechnology and genetic modification in order to control life and bend it to their profitability requirements
- I do not want to be complicit in the racism of the immigrant hunt, the prison that awaits those who will not bend to the laws of a country where governments may change but the cameras, batons and barbed wire remain.
- I will not be an accomplice of religious hypocrisy and of the sex tourism which is often its counterpart.
- I do not want to be complicit in the ongoing massacre of millions of animals raised and fattened for food in the animal industry that poisons and starves, or to test products and enter new markets (even if it means inventing new diseases to patent new drugs).

To the contrary, a salutation and embrace to those who fight against all of that: solidarity with the comrades in prison in Italy, Switzerland, Germany, France, Greece, Spain, Chile, Argentina, Mexico and the United States; with the Mapuche in struggle for their land; with the “Freedom Fighters” in the Niger Delta, the insurgency in the Maghreb and every struggle that I do not know or name.

Thanks for the great solidarity shown towards me and the others arrested [on April 6th].

Terrorista è chi rinchiude e bombarda non chi tutto ciò combatte!

Mi chiamo Martino, sono uno degli anarchici arrestati a Bologna lo scorso 6 aprile a seguito dell’ennesima ondata repressiva orchestrata dallo stato: operazione che ha portato all’arresto di 5 tra compagni e compagne, all’allontanamento di altri/e 7, ad un gran numero di perquisizioni (effettuate, peraltro, contemporaneamente in più città) e, addirittura, al sequestro dello spazio di documentazione Fuoriluogo (che passa dall’essere una sede con distribuzione di testi di critica radicale che organizza iniziative aperte settimanalmente, all’essere un inespugnabile fortino di terroristi) un’inchiesta a cui la procura lavorava da tempo e a cui, a seguito di alcuni attacchi anonimi avvenuti in città nel giro di una settimana ai danni di IBM, ENI, Emilbanca e Lega Nord, ha deciso fosse il momento di dare un seguito (nonostante nel riassunto delle carte che ci è stato consegnato al momento del nostro arresto, non ci sia alcun riferimento a questi fatti, con buona pace per i giornalisti forcaioli).
In un clima di linciaggio mediatico volto ad intimidire le tante persone che si avvicinano alle lotte in cui gli anarchici sono impegnati facendo terra bruciata attorno a loro (con Maroni che annunciava la sua funesta calata in città) arrestare qualcuno era necessario.
Perché la polizia c’è, la polizia fa. È tutto sotto controllo.
Siamo alle solite: ogni manifestazione di dissenso non recuperabile deve essere distorta, circoscritta ad una “guerra privata” tra il potere ed i suoi nemici dichiarati per disinnescarne la portata sociale e vanificarne il potenziale.
Come se, tolti gli anarchici, in questo mondo di merci non rimanessero che docili sudditi persuasi di vivere nel migliore dei mondi possibili.
Eppure per accorgersi di come sia il mondo in cui viviamo non c’è bisogno di essere dei sovversivi: dalla minaccia nucleare che incombe alla guerra d’occupazione in Libia, sul fronte esterno; dalla militarizzazione imperante alla reclusione dei migranti sul fronte interno… la quotidiana catastrofe della società del profitto viene subita da tutti.
In tempi in cui la buia rassegnazione che, troppo spesso aleggia sulle coste nord del Mediterraneo, viene illuminata dalle insurrezioni che infiammano il sud delle sue coste.
In tempi in cui la N.A.T.O. stende un rapporto (Urban Operation in the Year 2020) in cui i suoi analisti immaginano per il 2020 scenari in cui l’esercito dovrà essere massicciamente impiegato per soffocare le rivolte dei poveri nelle periferie delle grandi città occidentali.
In tempi di crisi non può stupire se la diffusione dell’ideale anarchico (soprattutto se propugnato da individui che non aspettano, con le mani in mano la futura venuta di un’umanità libera e federata ma che, al contrario, lottano qui ed ora mettendo in gioco se stessi) turbi i sogni di chi ci comanda.
In realtà, a ben vedere, in una società come questa quello del nemico interno è l’unico “ruolo” eticamente accettabile:
- non voglio essere complice di una società che devasta il pianeta che la ospita
- non voglio essere complice di un’economia che per sopravvivere necessita di continue guerre e di ridurre intere popolazioni alla fame
- non voglio essere complice delle guardie che stuprano nelle caserme e nei C.I.E. ed uccidono nelle questure e nelle carceri
- non voglio essere complice di una società che sviluppa nanotecnologie e modificazioni genetiche al fine di controllare e piegare il vivente alle proprie esigenze di profitto
- non voglio essere complice del razzismo della caccia all’immigrato, della reclusione che attende chi non si piega alle leggi di un paese in cui i governi passano ma le telecamere, i manganelli ed i fili spinati restano
- non voglio essere complice di un’ipocrisia religiosa o del turismo sessuale che spesso ne costituisce il contraltare
- non voglio essere complice del massacro continuo di milioni di animali allevati e gonfiati o per alimentare i fatturati dell’industria zootecnica che intossica e affama o per testare ed immettere nei mercati nuovi prodotti (anche a costo di inventare nuove patologie per brevettare nuovi farmaci).
Al contrario saluto e abbraccio chi lotta contro tutto questo: solidarietà ai compagni in carcere in Italia, Svizzera, Germania, Francia, Grecia, Spagna, Cile, Argentina, Messico e Stati Uniti; ai Mapuche in lotta per le loro terre; ai “Freedom Fighters” del Delta del Niger, agli insorti del Maghreb e a tutte quelle situazioni di lotta che non conosco o non ho nominato.
Grazie per la grande solidarietà dimostrata nei confronti di me e degli altri/e arrestati/e.
Ancora dalla parte di chi, schiacciato da un cielo plumbeo, sceglie di procurar tempesta!
