Occupations of the prefecture’s premises in Chania (Crete) and the Town Hall in Serres (northern Greece) continue

Yesterday, June 15th, the popular assembly of Agora square in Chania has decided to continue the occupation of the prefecture’s premises. In their announcement the people demand the immediate release of all the arrested of yesterday’s demo in Athens and of the demonstrator arrested and imprisoned after the general strike of May 11th. They have also called out for a strike gathering on June 16th, at 10:00 at Agora square.

In the same spirit, the popular assembly of Eleftherias square in Serres has decided to continue the occupation of the Town Hall, thus denouncing the governmental politics and police repression and showing solidarity with all those that decided to stand up on the streets. A new popular assembly will be held today at 20:00 in the occupied Town Hall.
