UPDATE ON ARIS SIRINIDIS TRIAL 17/3/2011

The trial today began with the testimonies of the cops falling in deep contradictions especially regarding the body-type, since there is a difference of 23cm of height between the lowest testimony and reality (Aris Sirinidis is around 1,80cm tall). The contradictions were so much between cops as well as between the cops testimony in court and what they said originally. There were so many contradictions that at many points the audience was laughing as well as those in solidarity, even the judges…

Aris also testified saying, that he has nothing to do with this set up court and that his persecution is clearly political and because of his beliefs.

The main witness, a polish guy who had testified and based on whose testimony Aris was indicted, did not appear in court. It was said no one knows where he is. His testimony was read out where he said that he was at a friends house and he saw a tall guy dropping a mask (from where they took the DNA sample) and changing clothes. The lawyers intervened and said that the house he pointed out in detail has been abandoned and sealed for 18 years. Also, his testimony had many contradictions, e.g. he was shaved but he saw him only from behind. Aris then stood up and said that the only testimony that connects him is unreliable and the witness has disappeared, while he is imprisoned all this time based on this ridiculousness.
