Zerman Elias has been returned to prison after his November 15 release under nighttime house arrest was successfully appealed by plaintiffs, with the court of appeals voting two-to-one to send Elias back to prison as a “danger to society.”
Elias was arrested on September 22 and locked up at Santiago 1 on charges of throwing a Molotov cocktail at a tear gas dispersal vehicle belonging to the repressive forces. The mass media immediately attempted to fan the flames of nationalist hatred, given that comrade Elias is a Bolivian national.
Elias was returned to the death camps on November 24, but this time to the Maximum-Security Wing of High-Security Prison (SMS-CAS), where he joins Gonzalo Zapata and Cristobal Franke. Comrades from the Bombings Case and the Security Case have also previously done time at SMS-CAS.
Francisco Moreno is now the only prisoner from the street confrontations remaining in Santiago 1, where he has received special harassment from the guards due to his dignified indiscipline.
SOLIDARITY WITH ALL PRISONERS FROM THE STREET CONFRONTATIONS!
Zerman, Francisco, Cristobal, and Gonzalo TO THE STREETS!
